Defination: Inflammation of the tendon sheaths of abductor pollicis
longus and extensor pollicis brevisat the point where they cross styloid
processof radius.
Etiology

Most common in females

Causes

Repeated movements (radial deviation) of wrist
which causes repeated friction and cause microtrauma.

Sign and symptoms
·
Pain and tenderness over base of thumb and in anatomical
snuff box
·
Swelling
·
Painful wrist movements with weakness of grip
