is very important to deal with self safety when you are treating specially
these patients. So following precaution should be taken before dealing with
these patients:
- Always use protective barriers. Specially while handling blood, body fluids and infectious fluids.
- Wash hands before and after treatment.
- Prevent needle sticks. And also make sure that patient’s nails are clean.
- If you have any open wounds or skin lesion than do not treat the patient until lesion have healed.

- In pregnant women, new born and very old age patients take extra precautions.
These patients are already in a very miserable condition and some help and love in their lives can totally change the picture. A remedial massage therapist must keep in mind that his/help treatment can change the total immune system and the desire to live of patient because a physiotherapist knows that how to give physio treatment to such type of patient. Further he must follow the safety profile as well to help more patients.
